Since 2000, Wahkiakum Dollars for Scholars has been able to provide scholarships to Wahkiakum County students seeking to furthur their education beyond high school. The scholarship program exists and continues only because of the dedicated and generous efforts of our community.

Each year the first Saturday following Memorial Day, Wahakiakum Dollars for Scholars hosts an annual Car Show and raffle to raise money for the scholarship program.  Last year the foundation was able to raise more than $19,200 which will be used to assist 2016 Wahkiakum High School college bound students.

Across the nation, Scholarship America's programs -- including Dollars for Scholars -- have given out $2.5 billion to nearly 2 million students since its founding 50 years ago. Wahkiakum Dollars for Scholars is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is an affiliate of Dollars for Scholars® program. More information about Dollars for Scholars, a division of Scholarship America, Inc.® can be found on their website - www.scholarshipamerica.org.
